The Conventions, Producer and Target Audience:
For the conventions of my magazine, I plan to keep my masthead, my main image for my main article, a coverling/pull quote from the article to highlight a minor section on what it is about, subheadings to show them a small preview of the article. I will also have a barcode at the bottom right with the price and magazine number for this who wish to buy or even collect the issues. I will also add a bubble to the cover to provide the audience with a look as to what is up for offer in the magazine but as to what I want up for offer is undecided, maybe a free download or a poster. My font will hold a sort of formal yet youthful look so it may appeal to my 16-24 audience. For the context page I plan on having the masthead again but with the word "Contents" instead. I also plan on having subheadings along the side with pages to show what else is in the magazine. Also there will be on side that mainly holds pictures with page numbers rather than just writing so the reader can glance at the artist and quickly flip to the right page. The colour palet will hold unisex colours of black, white and red to appeal to a larger range of audience. My double page spread will consist of one large main image and an article. Another pull quote/masthead will appear on the page along with a masthead of the logo to keep the house style.
If my magazine was ever to sold I would like the publisher, Bauer Media to do it as they have a range of music magazines including the very sucessful "Q" and "Kerrang". My magazine will be a mix between Q and Kerrang which will widen Bauer Media audience and make them more diverce.
My target audience is between the ages of 16 and 24. It is a uni-sex magazine with have a range of bands and the unisex colours that are included. Although the cover has a main girl artist it still appeals to the male gender.I think the readers would be those who love and enjoy a wide variety of music.
If my magazine was to be broadcast publicly I think it would appear on more adult to mid-teen programmes. Such as ITV, E4 and Channel 4. These three programmes appeal to those with both a playful and mature behavior who would also might take some intrigue into my magazine. The magazine would also be advertised on music channels that hold a similar music genre mix as it.

Font Choices
FONTS NOT CHOSEN:

This font was considered as it had a raw vibe which could link to music that is more raw. But as my magazine goes over a variety of music and appeals to a wider audience this font is not very professional and does not fit with the magazine.
This font caught my eye as it is bold and eyecatching to a reader. However it may be bold but it is also a bit chunky and graffiti like which does not fit to appeal to my audience.
I like this font as it is professional and formal with a fun little flick to it. However this font is a bit too fun for the cover of my magazine.
FONTS CHOSEN:

This font is bold with white highlights and I have chosen it to be my logo as it is eyecatching and appealing to a wider audience.
This font is small and simple which is great to put under my logo to show what the acronym P.U.K means.
This font will be my pull quote as it is bold and will catch the eyes of the reader/audience.
For my sub-headings I will use a small but bold font as it is still trying to catch the reader's eye but not to overshadow the main article.
Audience Research
I created a survey online using the website SurveryMonkey so I can see what my future audience would like, here are the results.
A large amount of those who filled out my survey were female. Tough the survey shows a large amount of female participants I will make my magazine uni-sex so that the male populace will like to purchase it.
The ages seem to stick between 16-24 so I will make them my main target audience by introducing young music in my magazine.
Not many who filled out the survey seemed interested in the idea of a music magazine. To change this opinion I will try to fit my magazine to more people.
The genres show a pattern in which one is most preffered. That is pop with alternative closley behind. I will have a mix of the genres in my magazine but also have a bit more pop and alternative in there to appeal to those larger groups.
The price most chosen by the audience was between £1.51 to £2.00 and a few clicked over. As this magazine is monthly which means there will be a large quantity of pages the price will be a little higher than that but still between the most chosen prices.
The vote shows that people would prefer their magazine to be monthly so the magazine I created will also be monthly.
Free download had the highest percentage so I shall offer free downloads in my magazine.
