Practice Magazine Cover

 

 

 

I first opened Adobe Photoshop CS6 the clicked File, open and then selected my already existing image. I then duplicated the background image (the existing image that I uploaded) by righ clicking and selecting duplicate layer, I the clicked ok on the box that popped up giving my a duplicate layer. On the copy layer of he background I clicked on he magic wand tool, selected background and deleted it. I then proceeded to fill in he background by going on the colour pallet to pick the colour I wish to use then selected the bucket tool and filled in the background with my desired colour. To put a masthead in I clicked on the type tool then selected a certain spot on my image. Filling in my desired text I then placed the layer just below my background layer so that the mast head would go behind the image. i hen clicked n h typing tool again to d my sell-line. Lastly I inserted another image, the barcode, by copying he layer then pasting it in wit my other layers. To resize it to fit I clicked edit then free transform to resize my image. i held down the shift key s my image would not go out of proportion. To finish i save my file as a JPEG so hat I can use the image to put on my blog.

Preliminary Task Flat Plans

Here I have made preliminary flat plans to show what I would like my cover and contents to look like. This is a simple plan that is made to show the basic layout.

Front Cover:
 

 

 

On my front cover of my magazine I have placed my masthead in the top left corner and made my image cover the entire magazine. Subheadings are just below the masthead with a bubble at the bottom to promote anything important within the magazine. A main coverline goes across the image to show that it is the main story/ focus of the magazine.

 

Contents:

 

 

 

In my content I have placed the masthead from the cover in the left hand corner again and also placed another masthead to say contents. I have placed in a section to show images of main stories and placed contents sections underneath the logo and just on the bottom for any minor stories.
